Adept
- The Marine is
showing great interest and/or knowledge about the rituals of the Machine God. They
are removed from their posting to be transferred to Company Armory (save the
Tenth Company). They are taught the rituals to operate and maintain the Rhinos
and Land Raiders as well as all of the Company’s Weapons, all under the
watchful eye of the Techmarines. Scout Adepts must complete their
transformation to full marine before proceeding further.

Techmarine
– Completing his
training on Mars, he returns to his Chapter a changed man. They have also forged
their own armor and weapons that they take back with them to the Chapter. They
take responsibilities related to their skills. Among these are the training and
leading of Adepts. Techmarines may be inducted into the

is done privately in the tightly guarded seclusion the Armory. Inducted
Techmarines wear the Bone Robes over their armor only when it is required.

and Equipment as well as overseeing construction of ships and bases. They also
oversee the progress of their fellow Techmarines. They are brought into the

Grand Master of the Techmarines
– The most knowledgeable,
experienced and wisest of all the Techmarines, they are typically chosen by their
predecessor prior to their death. They oversee the Forges of the Chapter as
well as all the Techmarines and Adepts in the Chapter. They are inducted into
the Second Level of the Deathwing.
- There is no
uniform method of discerning a Grand Master. Since no two Techmarines are
alike, Masters are usually recognized by their unique armor. Grand Masters may
forge for themselves a suit of Terminator Armor in honor and respect for the
Deathwing.
