2000pt army list - 2007/01/21 21:12 okay i just finnished painting and building my Dark angel army and i just wanted to go over my army list and its tactics to see if you guys could help me out.



HQ

1 epistolary w/ force weapon, pychic hood, Might of Heros, Veil of time, Thunder Hammer, iron halo , teleport hommer. =220pt

7man comande squad w/ CCW+BP, Furious Charge. =126pt


Elite

8 Terminators w/ 7 power fists, 6 Storm botlers, 2 assault cannons, 1 power sword. =360pt

Dreadnought w/ extra armor, assault cannon and power fist/storm bolter. =110pt


Troops

10 merines w/ Plasma cannon, 1 plasma gun , 8 bolters. =180pt

10 merines w/ 1 missle launcher, 1 plasma gun , 8 bolters. =170pt

10 merines w/ 1 missle launcher, 1 plasma gun , 8 bolters. =170pt

7 scouts w/ 4 sniper rifles, 1 missile launcher, i veteran, 2 bolters, 1 teleport homer. =139pt

Fast Attack

1 Landspeeder w/ heavy bolter, assault cannon. =80pt


Heavy Support

Whirlwind w/ Multiple missle launcher. =85pt

Predator Destructor w/ auto cannon, 2 heavy bolters.=110pt

1 landraider w/ twin linked heavy bolter, 2 twin linked lasconnons. =250pt

= 2000pt

Now the army based apon three groups. each group has a tac squad and a support vehicle ( predator, landspeeder or dreadnought). while the librarian and commande squad are mounted in the landraider as a mobile reserver , an all out assault unit or an anchor point for the termies. the scouts are used to capture table corners or vitale objective they are also an anchor for the termies. Each unite is made so it can almost rely completely on its own without support from the rest of the army. mean while the whirlwind just sits and lobs stuff everywere. So thats the army and its tactics in a nut shell, now tell me what you think and if i should change anything

Re:2000pt army list - 2007/09/09 02:24 good set up actually. and the only points i have are on teh librarian, the landspeeder and the scout squad.

dont know if its just your prefrence to have the librarian with two ccw's but i dont know. personaly i prefer to have that pistol around to make the potshots but thats just me.

landspeeder: nothing wrong, its the classic set up but with the new DA codex we can now field out Melta/ass.cannon. it comes out to 100pts but the ability to mow down infantry and take out armor is always a good thing.

scouts: you've got the unit set out with 4 snipers and a m.launcher, its just that the bolter scouts seem outta place. 5 out of the 7(i dont know what the sarge is equiped with) are long range and i dont see the bolter giving that much of a punch with everything else. so id say replace teh bolters with some more sniper rifles(ya can do this easy with imp.guard sniper blisters) and put the bolter scouts into a closecombat scout squad.
