a "know your foe" forum! 
we do need a place to help the younger brother marines in finding the weaknessess and most effective counters, to many of the foes out there.
having places to discuss how to use our army, in general, is good and all. but people'll need a place to get and give help on all the other armies in the game.
and something for site submitals. if we find a good site to be added to the database.

Try the topside popup menu. "Submit Weblink" is there, no? 
Anyway, as you guys can see I've consolidated and moved the forums around a bit. I got rid of the offtopic stuff for now, I can put it back in later if there's demand for it. Tell me what you think.

News and Contests will be put into the current respective forums. The rest will be put into the current sections. All painting will go into the painting forum, all background the same, and all tactical articles and battle reports will go into the respective army's forum (DW Tac, RW Tac, etc).

A very nice page Astro!
I'm missing a general DA discussions forum though. A place to share ideas and views on DA that don't fit in the specific categories.
A know your enemy sub-forum to the tactics forum is also a good idea. Maybe also a army-list (sub-)forum?
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Hmm, what do you mean about general DA discussions? Can you give a couple examples of stuff you'd put there?
As for the sub-forums.. I think we should on that until later. At the moment, we don't have enough traffic and having too many forums would be bad. Just put all the tactical stuff under one tac forum. If we grow so much that stuff gets lost, I'll create the necessary forums and mmove the right threads.

Oh, really general things. Army experiences, rumors, random-DA-discussion, etc. the general army small-talk actually. Imho such forums it gives life to the community (maybe with a sicky greetings thread?).

I'd second the DA's general chit chat forum. Also would it be possible for the site to automaticaly re-size you're avatars? I only have paint and it never quite comes out right.

My two cents:
That read has got to go. My old eyes just can not read what is said. I have to highlight the words with the cursor to even be able to understand what is going on.
Is there any way to get email notification when a reply is posted to a thread? ie: can we subscribe to a thread or do we have to keep checking in?

it's been a long time since I've heard mention the Mentors. Legion 666, special weapons chapter. Back in the old days I ran two squads of them (the 10 man and 5 man squad). People hated to see me pull them out of the box. Did they not come standard with two Vortex Missles? I have thougth of using the rules for Grey Knights or Xeno Hunters to represent the Mentors. Ah, memories.

I've sent an email to the designer already regarding the modifications, which include recoloring the background and make the red text stand out a lot more. Hopefully this will be done soon.
As for subscribing: yes. Go to your mail program (I use Mozilla Thunderbird), create a new RSS account. On mozilla this is "RSS News & Blogs. After this is done go to your "News And Blogs" account, and click "Manage Subscriptions". Give it the address of the big orange button called "RSS" that is on the forums main page.
[edit] you can also subscribe to individual topics by choosing the option at the bottom when inside a topic.

I think perhaps "battle company" "Ravenwing" and "deathwing" should all be sub-forums of a tactics forum, would clear up some space on the main forum index?
