Warning signs of playing to much warhammer 40k... - 2006/03/15 16:28 Hi guys, thought i would start up a funny topic of when you have played to much warhammer and have slipped into warhammer mode and say things that you should'nt.

1/ I was helping out a friend who was going through a tough time (he does not play or know anything about warhammer) and came out with "The emperor protects, brother". That took some explaining lol.

2/ In the gw store, when a young kid askes about the Tyranids i have to stop myself from saying "Traitor scum, If you were pure of spirit, you would have choosen Dark Angels"

3/ when watching football in the pub i only just avoided shouting "FOR THE LION" at the end of the game.....

Right so am i the only one who gets into the wh40k spirit a bit to much? If not what are your tales of near misses and slip ups?

Re:Warning signs of playing to much warhammer 40k. - 2006/03/15 17:20 When I'm with my hobby buddies, I say stuff like that, but out there, in the real world, I try not to. (not a lot of warhammer-playing people around here in Belgium) Angelis Destructorum

Re:Warning signs of playing to much warhammer 40k. - 2006/03/15 17:56 I've been in and out of favour with the hooby for a few years, so when in the real world it's not too bad. Except when I go to garden shops, I always seem to think they should sell really cool terrain, and look at upside down water features as hills....
