With your permission, I'd like to change the structure a bit. I'll make them all part of one article, and insert page breaks to separate them visually. that way you can get an index, and it won't take much room in the main category.

Go ahead. Would you like Fallen in a single piece as well?

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/03 19:00 Yep. Did you see the "Insert page break" button? it's below the text area.

Your sig has a problem. it links to my site instead of the Fortress

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/03 20:03 You should have it now,

Question, why can't we transition between pages?

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/06 14:17 Found a rather nasty bug in the current forum code. you cant select the next page or the previous page in a thread. The only way i can do it is by going out of it and then selecing the page i want to see. Brother Xeres Signing out

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/10 16:32 well, ACTUALLY you can.

Here's the deal. The designer made all site links red in color, which looks nice. THEN he made the forum have this nice white background with red headers, which also looks nice.

However, and we couldn't know this before you guys started coming in and spam...er, *contributing* to the site, was that when a thread goes to more than one page the forum puts nice red links to previous/next pages over nice red headers.

The white text with "next page" appears when you *are* in the last page, to indicate that the link is disabled. If you mouse over that red block, you'll notice other links, that work, to the previous pages.

I'll try to get this fixed.

Belial, I can't see what you mean. I can click on the index just fine to transition between the pages, as well as the "next" and "previous" buttons on the bottom. Both in IE and Firefox. Can you be a bit more specific?

Thanks

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/10 16:53 astro, also mate get this web designer guy to fix the forum issue with internet explorer, the forum starts at the bottum of the menu.

No offence but this web designer guy should not be charging you money if he is not testing his designs on all browsers and bug testing. Ive been a webdesigner in my time and i would have been fired if i had let through all these bugs for a clients site.

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/10 17:00 I know, I've fired yet another email to him again tonight, just before writing that post. I've also been sick (still am) so I didn't have much time to really complain at him. But yes, he has all the complaints you guy made on his inbox already, and I've had no reason to complain so far. Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/20 15:41 The exclamation marks in front of the thread that turn red when an unread post is in the thread don't work here...

I always need to look at "latest posts" to see where there have been new posts...

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/20 16:47 I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but I've noticed sometimes when a user has posted (usualy last post before a new page) I can't view it, it always takes me too the one post before it.

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/21 08:03 Cheatah: Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm trying to ask for support in the official forums of the software, let's see what they say. I didn't change anything.

Blakkheim: Sorry, I have never seen that behaviour. Is it repeatable in any way?

Re:Current Site Issues - 2006/03/31 09:44 First, Great Site!

This might be more of a recommendation, but when posting pictures, you are not told the file limits (dimensions and files size) before you submit. It is only after a file is rejected that you find out why.

Also, since pictures must be both under a specific size AND under specific dimesions, there are two independent error messages, yet you only see one of them even if the file violates both.

I had trouble at first when posting my pics, they were both too big and too big. When reject the first time, I corrected the image for the shown error message, only to then receive the second error message when I re-submitted. I've since learned the file restrictions, but man that was annoying.

Can we have a simple text line at the end of the "Select Image file to attach" line that specifies the file limits?

Something like "Limit: 40kb & 500x500" would help I think.

Thanks!
