 The fires burn - 2006/03/03 13:27 It’s an age old burning question , to wait or not? My conundrum is as follows: I want to re-paint my DA’s force. I don’t mind the stripping of paint and green stuffing up some robes, but here in lies the problem, do I wait for our (rumoured) end of year release, or not? I only plan on re-modelling my squads to 5 or 6 and wait too see what’s released and add on up to 10. Looking from the concept sketches it looks like we are in for a treat, I’m just worried about robe appearance, armour variants. Should I wait, or stop messing around and get moving?

 Re:The fires burn - 2006/03/03 16:24 I would say go for it. My view of the hobby is that the journey is as important (if not more so) than the destination. There's plenty of time before our review, so why not spend that time improving on the force you already have? I don't believe our review will be such a radical departure from what we currently have that we're not going to be able to mix and match miniatures. Basic marines are like black: they go with everything.

Just enjoy your painting, and when the time comes enjoy thinking up ways to enhance your current force with the new stuff. At the very least, you can buy the new minis to start a new army, like a successor chapter. With the right revolting piety of tone

 Re:The fires burn - 2006/03/04 14:46 well ive seen the concepts of the da stuff and i would say go for the repaint. Basically we will get a few more special characters from what i can see, a Assassian scout with a sniper rifle that hunts the fallen, A few more robed characters and a general darker and more gothic look.
