Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/03 07:58 Just as an FYI, its not visible to me.

I also have a number of chapters still in the works, that is mainly a prologue..

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/03 08:22 From what I can tell about the limits of this contest, you can enter more than one article but they are not judged individually.

Lets say I have a few articles I wish to write on several different subjects, how would this contest work in relation to that?

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/03 10:49 Um. Sorry Urbanknight, I was a bit wrong about how it works. Only editors have access to items which weren't published yet. As soon as me and Darkseer approve it for publication, you get the chance to edit it at will. Sorry about the confusion.

Nathaniel: They are judged individually. What I meant on the rules was that the goal wasn't to flood the contest with quick-n-dirty entries, because it didn't give you "more chances" of winning like lottery tickets. Submitting well-written and well-thought-out pieces is the goal. Of course, if you *do* have several articles ready, by all means submit them all. All I was saying was that I'll take a look at each of them independent from the others.

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/03 16:04 No man, I really haven't seen anything.

Damn, I really hope this isn't a general problem.

Do me a favor: I'll send you an email with different addresses you can use. Please try sending your stuff to how many you can, to ensure I receive it.

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/10 16:23 Sorry, just say this. Yes, urbanknight, I still haven't seen the second part of Veridian. Please resend, as Kris's article also arrived at the contests inbox the last time he sent it. As a security measure, though, please also send it to jimmy_jinx@yahoo.com, which is a junk mbox I usually use to subscribe to websites only With the right revolting piety of tone

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/10 16:57 astro, ill be entering the contest with a painting guide on how to get dark angels to a "table top standard"....well at least my tabletop standard . I see many people eather dont blend there highlights or just do a single light at the edge gw style :<

Anyway, ive got to get back to painting my master, ive almost finished the front of his robe and just need to smooth down some of the blends.

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/13 04:42 Being a GW employee does not discount you from participating. Hell, if you're willing to slip me some inside info about Codex DA it might even mean you win

Nah, don't worry about your job. If it means you won't be able to do anything for the deadline, then that's different, but you still have over two weeks.

Re:Grand Opening Contest! - 2006/03/14 16:20 thanks astro, atm mate im really sick so once im better ive got to get moving with the models they want painted and then get used to the gw system at work.

I did get a bit of da info which although small makes me quite happy, basically the DA will have alot more of a darker theme and a more monk type apprearance. Although its not much it means that they will stick close to the concept pictures which is nice. This info was overheard from one of the high up gw guys.

got some info on the elder as well, the wraithlord will look pretty much like the current one but with the old epic titan type wings on the back and the gun(s) will all be forarm mounted. Also there will be a close combat version with a double handed bladed staff with a blade at each end. This info is from a person who saw the models himself (not naming names )

if i get any more info i shall report back to the rock what i find.
