Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/20 15:00 This thread discusses the Content article: Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta!

Darn, I was hoping for a December 2006 release...

But the confirmed add-on sprue is great and the more mystery, the better for the codex

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/20 15:06 yeah I was hoping on an earlier realease time as well... but no matter... at least some detials are confirmed thus far.. now we just have to get someone at the next games day to pump for details on other things...

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/20 16:12 I bet that at the other games days we will get different or more info. Ive been thinking about it and it would be such a stupid mistake for gw not to release a nice big money spinner at xmas and the Dark angels just happened to be that.

You have people then buying loads of termys for deathwing, speeders and bikes for ravenwing and more normal marine stuff for a normal dark angels army.

I would say this was a pretty good thing to do at xmas would'nt you?

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/20 19:08 If we are after christmas I hope we dont get some shaddy quick fix. I think they've ended up wasting too much time on the tau *a quick fix release?* It's drawn out more time then the Ultramarines/Nids. Now don't get me wrong I understand that WFB new edition and Eldar all deserve the top treatment, I play Eldar too.... But if it's going to be longer it better be worth it. Now rushed out job like the last edition.

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/20 21:24 I think we'll get plenty of goodies to sink our teeth into... oops sorry, my ex wfb army fluff making a slight comeback there (vampire counts) Angelis Destructorum

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/21 21:23 Most excellent indeed. I knew there was a reason I hadn;t started on my Dark Angels yet.

Guess theres not point in me doing anything 40kwise this year lol outside of fluff and background.

Re:Dark Angels revision details from GD Atlanta! - 2006/03/26 23:17 quick copy/paste from one of my posts on warseer.. about this subject.

"recently got ahold of an OLD WD. issue 96 to be exact. is either before it hit the shelves here or it's the UK edition (lots of maps and store locations, etc.). adds a bit of light, or more confusion, on the whole thing..

GW should just stick with the fluff they set out, and only ADD to it. not go back and keep changing things here and there. FYI.. RavenWring used to be the 7th company! not the 2nd.

either elsewhere in that issue or a later(slightly mor erecent-low 100's) one...
the feud between Johnson and Russ, is described TOTALY different. ending it as "a feud at best.. outright enemies at worst". which goes against nearly everything the current fluff has things set as (reguardless of logan putting an end to it durring EoT). but i can see now where some less than (currently)accurate renditions of the story have come from (major long time players/collectors). and i can only wonder at what other stories there've been about the events durring the horus heresy.

putting it all under lock and key, like it seems they're going to do, i can only imagine will leave the doors WIDE open for mass missinterpretation(maybe with all the previous versions of it.. i'm just missing their point in it). they should just say, now, "it's only ever been, is, and always will be THIS..". get everything cleared up in one go.
